To list applications installed on BlackBerry smartphones in a BlackBerry domain using the BlackBerry Application Reporting Tool, complete the following steps:

Navigate to the HHAppReport using a command prompt. Type the following command:

HHAppReport -n BBSQLServer -db BESMgmt

Where -n is the host name and -db is the name of the BlackBerry Configuration Database.

The output lists the applications installed on the BlackBerry smartphones in the BlackBerry domain. If there are different versions of the same application, two lines are listed. An example from this output is as follows:

"Phone","net.rim.java.phone","4.2.2"

After performing a cutover of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service starts and then stops.

The BlackBerry MDS Connection Service mapping to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server was not updated.  As a result, the MDSCONFIG table in the BlackBerry Configuration Database contains invalid data.

To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
  1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click BlackBerry Domain.

  2. On the Global tab, click the Service Control & Customization task.

  3. Click MDS CS to BES Mapping.

  4. Match the correct host computer to the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.

  5. Click OK to save the changes.

  6. Start the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.

To change the location of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server log files, complete the following steps:

  1. Browse to Start > Programs > BlackBerry Enterprise Server > BlackBerry Server Configuration.

    Active Image

  2. Click the Logging tab.

    Active Image

  3. Click Browse.

    Active Image

  4. Browse to the location on a local hard disk drive where you want to store the log files.

    Active Image

  5. Click OK.

  6. Restart the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services in the correct order.
  1. If not already done, download and install the latest version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  2. Firstly, you will have to ensure that the version that you want to downgrade the device to is the highest version that is installed on your compoter. Remove any newer BlackBerry OS from your PC.

Do this by going to add/remove programs in the control panel and removing the software for the new BB OS. Make sure desktop manager is not running when you do this. After complete, restart the Desktop Manager.

  3. Download the version of OS you want to install from your carrier's website.

  4. When you plug in your device, if everything went well, the Desktop Manager should tell you that your PC has an older version of desktop tools than is installed on the device.

It will give you an option to keep the version on your BlackBerry or downgrade to the version on your PC. Select Downgrade and let apploader do the work.
