The Auto On/Off feature allows you to specify when the BlackBerry smartphone is to power on and off. Between the specified times, the LCD screen is turned off. The smartphone can only be turned on by Calendar and Alarm notifications.
On BlackBerry Java based devices, the Auto On/Off feature leaves the radio off and allows Alarm and Calendar notifications. Between the specified times, the smartphone does not receive messages.
A service book contains information that specifies how your BlackBerry smartphone interacts with the BlackBerry Infrastructure. It also turns on specific services for your BlackBerry smartphone. The selection of service books on your BlackBerry smartphone depends upon the features provided by your wireless service provider and the IT policies set up by your organization. The following table outlines the most common service books.

BlackBerry Device Software v4.2.2
Email messages, personal identification number (PIN) messages, and Short Message Service (SMS) messages are deleted due to low memory on the BlackBerry smartphone.
This issue may be caused by the following:

On a BlackBerry smartphone that is connected to either a BlackBerry Enterprise Server v4.0 to 5.0, using BlackBerry Device software v4.0, the Wireless Reconcile option does not appear when you display the Email Reconciliation screen on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Resolution for Desktop [CMIME] service book is corrupted
Complete the following steps to delete the Desktop [CMIME] service book on the BlackBerry smartphone and send a new Desktop [CMIME] service book to the BlackBerry smartphone:
Resolution for Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy is set to False.
Contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator and request that the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy be set to True for your BlackBerry smartphone user account.
To set the the Enable Wireless Message Reconciliation IT Policy to True on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the administrator completes the following steps:

If you have a password on your BlackBerry smartphone, a screen appears asking you to enter the password for the smartphone. Type the password that you use to unlock your smartphone.
Type the password and press ENTER.
Note: Some Windows operating systems require the command prompt run as administrator to allow this functionality.

On a BlackBerry Enterprise Server v4.1 for Lotus Domino, BlackBerry State Database pruning is enabled, but for various reasons may be turned off by the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator.
State database pruning is the process used to limit and clean up each BlackBerry smartphone user's state database to remove old message links and ensure the BlackBerry smartphone users' state databases do not grow to an unmanageable size.
If BlackBerry smartphone users' state databases grow too large, they can negatively impact the operation of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
To enable state database pruning, complete the following steps:
Note: If you find that BlackBerry smartphone users have large state databases (25 MB or larger) and pruning is already enabled, you may want to modify these numbers.
When trying to apply Maintenance Release 7 for BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 SP6, you are prompted for the BlackBerry Entperise Server.msi file.
This is by design and is expected that the full BlackBerry Entperprise Server version 4.1 SP6 installation files are downloaded and unpacked in to their default location:
C:\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1.6
To resolve this issue, download the BlackBerry Enterprise SErver version 4.1 SP6 from Research in Motion, and extract to the default paths.
