Notes Client R90 Multi User Migration Script

In order to upgrade a large number of desktop clients from R8.5.x to R9.0.1, we wrote the following batch files.

There are a number of assumptions that have to be made:

  1. That the existing user installation was a single user installation of Notes R8 or below
  2. That the existing user data was located on the users network home drive (X:), in a folder called NOTES

We also use a tool that we developed in-house for search and replacing. This tool is used to replace specific parameters within the NOTES.INI file (keyfilename= and location=) with the values from the users old NOTES.INI file.

Client deployment to the individual machines may be carried out via multiple methods.
