To add a new client access license (CAL) authentication key, complete the following steps for the appropriate version of BlackBerry® Enterprise Server:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 3.5 and 3.6:
  1. Open the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Management console.
  2. Right-click BlackBerry Server Management and then click Properties.
  3. On the License tab, specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.  

 

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0:
  1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Right-click BlackBerry Manager and then click Properties.
  3. On the License tab, specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.

 

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 to 4.1 SP7:
  1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Click BlackBerry Domain.
  3. On the Global tab, expand the Account section and then click License Management.
  4. Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.

 

BlackBerry Professional Software
  1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Under the Account task, select License Management.
  4. Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.

 

BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 to 5.0 SP3 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express:
  1. Open the BlackBerry Administration Service.
  2. On the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component View.
  3. Click BlackBerry Administration Service.
  4. Click Edit Component.
  5. In the License Key section, type the CAL key information and then click the Add icon.
  6. Once the CAL has been added or changed, click save all at the bottom of the screen.

 

Note: Administrator accounts displaying in the BlackBerry Administration Service console do not use a Client Access License key.
